  • This beach is so nice. It’s clean and the sand is so soft. It does get a little crowded, but I think it’s not too bad considering how nice the beach and water is. The beach is close to a lot of restaurants as well and the city as a whole is very walkable! Would definitely recommend Clearwater as a place to visit or vacation!

Clearwater is one of Florida’s most famous and visited beaches, and for really good reason. It’s gorgeous. The sand is some of the softest of all the gulf beaches, it’s literally therapy between your toes. And yes, the water is pretty darn clear most days, as the name suggests. But being one of the most famous beaches, means that everybody and their dog and their dogs grandma and their long lost half brother comes here. It’s almost unbelievable how busy it can get at Clearwater on the right day. Like, I don’t know how there’s enough room for all the people who come sometimes. Even though Clearwater isn’t my personal favorite beach or even on my top list, I really do get why people love it. First of all, it’s gorgeous and the location is really accessible. Clearwater has its own airport and its only about an hour from the Tampa airport. And everything directly on Clearwater Beach is also super accessible and walkable by foot. That’s a huge one especially for tourists. There are dozens of restaurants and shops that are within a few minutes walk straight off the beach. But what I don’t love it how commercialized everything is. The buildings are super tall, there are way too many tourist trap stores, and overall it’s just such a bustling area and doesn’t exactly make for an entirely relaxing day. Plus, if you do drive there parking is so expensive- basically minimum $15 for the whole day unless you know someone. But it’s definitely a stunning and viable beach vacation option.

  • When I was a little girl my family would bring me here and we would stay from sun up to sundown and it’s some of my fave childhood memories. Coming back here takes me back to such a simple place and time and I always feel completely at peace when I’m here. The sunsets are beautiful. Decent dining options. Everything you might need is on this beach. We live in Florida and still grab a Room on this beach .. park the car and never even have to leave for food or necessities for days. This is my favorite little happy place.

  • I love this beach! Sand is beautiful and water is clear! We had a great time! The only thing was there was something in the air that kept making everyone cough and sneeze! Like I was stuck in Covid twilight zone!

  • Beautiful beach but incredibly crowded most of the times. The sand is the best sand ever. Perfectly white and fine. Garage is kept clean. Water is warm. Lots of activities and close to food and drink. Free tents off the water are first come first serve. Places to wash your feet are ample. Pier costs a buck to walk up to.
