Glass Beach is a beach in Eleele, an industrial area in Kauai, Hawaii, that is made of sea glass. It is in Hanapepe Bay, near Port Allen Harbor. The beach's regular rock is basalt, but the sea glass formed after years of discarded glass.
Fun place to check outbid you’re in the area, but don’t go out of your way. Very interesting!
Sad that there was almost no sea glass to be seen. Everyone seemed to be poaching for them.
This is a very interesting beach. It's unfortunate why it exists, but it's quite interesting to walk on and see the variety of glass.
The Black Sand was super cool and there are tiny bits of glass in the sand. They have been polished from the sand and waves. Not really a swimming beach. Beautiful nonetheless .
Nice small beach....lots of tiny pieces of colored glass mixed in with the sand...saw a seal sunning him self... And I think it was a Japanese cemetery on the other side of the road....
Never been to a beach like this! I was happy to take a picture instead of the glass!
