Waimea Bay is located in Haleiwa on the North Shore of O'ahu in the Hawaiian Islands at the mouth of the Waimea River. Waimea Valley extends behind Waimea Bay. Waimea means "reddish water" in Hawaiian.
We visited so many different beaches in Oahu and this our fav! Showers and toilets are very close. The water is so nice for swimming. Temperature of water is a bit chill so it feels so good when it’s burning outside. It’s not so crowded like Waikiki, it is quite and nice. It is easy to find a spot on the front line. Also there are so many food options near by so you can spend whole day here! We never had an issue with parking, there is parking above the beach and if it’s full there is also another parking across the road.
GORGEOUS beach and location. Just exercise extreme caution as this isn't a good place to swim for kids or non experienced swimmers. Very strong currents that are extremely dangerous. There is a small rock you can jump off of when the conditions are good.
Very wide open relaxing beach with bouldering, swimming, fishing, a shower, and a 25ft dive into the water. There's shorter rocks to jump from, i think the shortest was like 5 feet
