The Bishop Arts District is a small shopping and entertainment district in north Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas (USA), near the intersection of Bishop Street and Davis Street. The Bishop Arts District is immediately southwest of Downtown Dallas.
This is one of my favorite areas in the Dallas metroplex. It has an awesome selection of places to eat. That is very diverse. Bishop cider is so great and Lockhart barbecue is some of the best barbecue. I have had the feeling of walking around the street it’s nostalgic to me of a smaller Austin in the 90s. The sound of live music on the corners on the weekends and passing by live jazz music is a delight to the ears. A fun place to eat brunch is Oddfellows. It has an interesting vibe that still reflects a 1940’s style diner. I have met great people that travel here from all over the United States.
Lovely walkable neighborhood in dallas with tons of cute little shop and delicious restaurants. A must-do while visiting Dallas!
Adorable area with interesting local shops and restaurants. Parking in a nearby neighborhood is free and close. All of the store owners and workers are extremely friendly and helpful.
Besides uptown, downtown, and bishop arts are the spots in dallas. Not as busy as uptown, traffic wise, but heavy and friendly foot traffic. Musicians on corners, some performers sometimes. Jazz club on bishop always has stuff. Interesting shops and finds, local artists. Amazing tacos at Tequeria El si hay, but don't look and expect the line to get shorter. It doesn't
Great place to visit! Finding a place to park can be an issue, but definitely worth the hassle! So many great places to visit! From many little shops to many great restaurants! We saw and visited many - such great variety! Even if you’re not in position to buy anything…it’s still a great place to walk around! We had lunch at Paradiso, dessert at Emporium Pie, then kept walking and ended up at Picolé for some Mexican paletas! Yum they were soooo good! We also stopped at one of the shops to taste their gelato (sorry, I can’t remember the name of the shop), but it was delicious! I will be returning for more gelato and will make note of their shop name and make sure I mention them next time! There were 8 of us in total, so many places to stop and taste! 😋
Bishop Arts District is a great spot to grab a cup of coffee and do some shopping, meet friends for pre-event cocktails/mocktails, or even a piece of pie, or dinner with that special someone. Hosting Game Night soon? Check out the board games available at House Rules. Need some vintage inspiration? You can't go wrong at Dolly on Bishop.
I love walking around this area from shop to shop and plenty of places to stop for coffee or drinks and food.
