The Old Hamilton County Jail is a historic building at 501 Northeast 1st Avenue, Jasper, Florida, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The Old Hamilton County Jail now serves as the Hamilton County Historical Museum.
So my family came from up north to vist and I wanted to some them some interesting places here. So we went to the Hamilton jail. I didn't know you had to call in advance to make a tour. We arrived and made the call and the person in charge of the tours was out of town at the time. 😠So we walked around the jail just to get a sense of how it was back in the day.
Stayed for an overnight investigation. I had a great time. The jail was awesome and I’m excited to see it again when it is renovated.
Amazing haunted location. Excellent if you want to capture actual evidence. Lots of bangs and eerie vibes!! Amazing historical location!!
Close at weekend, all decorations outside. Any notice outside about time or hours
I love history and old building. Add a good ghost story and im in heaven. They also do guided overnight glossy hunts.
You can't go inside anymore but it is a cool old piece of America's history. Hopefully it will reopen sometime in the future.
