The Raritan River Greenway is a proposed path in Somerset County, New Jersey that would link Branchburg Township to the East Coast Greenway with the Delaware and Raritan Canal trail in South Bound Brook. Raritan River Greenway is a priority park for Somerset County.
the river is generally dirty, to be expected in jersey, and i might add in the spring and summer people use this as an at-home beach. i'm not fond of that, but if you're going to at least pick up your damn trash. i've seen it closed multiple times due to the overwhelming amount of people followed by an overwhelming amount of litter
It's a river...a little dirty but this is Jersey so that's to be expected. Needs more birds.
I Absolutely Love this river!! Its my "home field" fire lap of a better description. I finish here all the time. However there are trails and toe paths everywhere. There are always a lot of people around, and there's a huge park with a playground and bar b whe facilities with tables..A great place to spend a weekend day!!
Took a swim in the Raritan last weekand barely got sick from its polluted waters, and not one dead body floated by. Recommended!
This river and I go way back. Not sure what to really say here. I'm surprised Google even wants a written review on a body of water. There's fish in this thing. There are some nicer areas where the scenery is nice to look at while floating down on a boat or kayak. Good times. I recommend this river to anyone wanting to do rivery things 😂
