War Memorial Park is a public park in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. It is located south of the town center, bounded by River Street, Arch Street and the Town River. The park was established in the 1930s and was constructed in part with funding from the Works Progress Administration. The park is located at the site of West Bridgewater's earliest industrial activities, a mill site dating to the 17th century. This early use spawned a variety of other water-powered industrial uses in the 18th and 19th centuries, and was notably the site of Ames Shovel Company's first factory. The 1936 creation of the park resulted in the donation of a large number of historic industrial artifacts, which are displayed on its grounds. The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
Took my beagle benny here today such a calming soothing park with beautiful streams all around but not really built for an active dog kind of small, great place to just chill or have lunch or collect your thoughts
Great very nice clean historical site. Park relax walk around listen to water. Great fishing also. Took my dog for a walk around seen others walking there dogs as well. There is a book exchange stand for people to take and put another in to read. Was muddy as expected due to all snow and rain. Surprised how much water is going thru there right now. Highest i have ever seen
Beautiful park, I used to take my kids all the time. I still go myself, love it!
This park is beautiful! I enjoyed walking around it with my three children.
I've never been here an not seen wedding/grad/family photos being taken. Its surprisingly a great place to kill 30 minutes with the kids as well even though it doesn't have a playground. They love crossing all the bridges and trails that weave along the river.
Nice short walk around, very clean and pretty. Get spot for pictures and sit and relax a little
I'm giving it 4⭐ because it is a lovely place for a picnic but small for a cardio walk.
So pretty and peaceful would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to walk their dog have an out door event or just a walk around with the kids they have a stage there the boys loved pretending to perform their rap battle and beat boxing skills.
