Calle Marqués de Larios
La calle Marqués de Larios, más conocida simplemente como calle Larios, es una calle del centro de la ciudad de Málaga, considerada una de las calles decimonónicas más elegantes de España. En el año 2018 se posicionó como la tercera calle más cara de España en rentas de alquiler,[2] convirtiéndola en una de las vías comerciales más deseadas de Europa.[3][4][5] El 14 de diciembre de 2002 fue inaugurada su peatonalización,[6][7] dando comienzo el profundo plan de rehabilitación y revitalización del Centro Histórico de Málaga.[8][9]
También conocida como calle Larios, debe su nombre en honor a Manuel Domingo Larios y Larios, II Marqués de Larios, el cual preside el inicio de la calle con un conjunto escultórico de Benlliure situada en la intersección con la Alameda Principal.[10]

Such a great 'main street' with a broad selection of shops and cafés. The decorative arches are a fine artistic addition to the pedestrianised area. A street that takes you from the old town area at the top, full of lively bars and restaurants down to the modern port area, past Tourist Information, on to another fine selection of retail and eating experiences and with many interesting and surprising side streets. The place to start when visiting Malaga then head in any direction to enjoy the city 😎

The sun gets very hot in the south of Spain. After a day of sightseeing in central Malaga in the middle of summer, you'll be desperately seeking shade. The sunscreens of Calle Marqués de Larios will provide shelter from the burning sun as well as great people-watching and shopping opportunities.

We went to watch the lights. If you are in Málaga between Nov 26 and Jan 6, go and enjoy the Christmas illuminations, from 19 to 22.
