Freshwater beach (Freshwater Beach)
Freshwater beach è una spiaggia di Freshwater e sobborgo di Sydney, nel Nuovo Galles del Sud, in Australia. È la prima spiaggia a nord di Manly sulla penisola. La spiaggia è fiancheggiata da un promontorio che pone delle buone condizioni per fare surf, come pratica sportiva.
Tra le rocce è stata costruita una piscina. La spiaggia è controllata da bagnini e ha una sua postazione di salvaguardia per i praticanti di surf.
Il 10 marzo 2012, i 4 chilometri che si delineano tra Freshwater Beach e Shelly Beach (Manly) sono stati dichiarati "Riserva mondiale del surf di Manly -Freshwater" (una maniera di preservare nel mondo le aree adibite al surf).
Alla cerimonia di presentazione erano presenti il campione mondiale di surf Kelly Slater e il governatore del Nuovo Galles del Sud Marie Bashir.

I grew up in Southern Sydney so always went to the Shire during Summer. Somehow, this beach reminds me most of the Shire. Whenever I'm up North, I love this beach for a few reasons. It feels homely. It's in a nice bay/inlet. And most of all, it is perfect for body surfing because you can walk out 50m+ on the sand banks to catch waves. There's plenty of sand for everyone to sunbathe on, and everyone seems friendly. Honestly just the best!

I love this beach. Less crowded than Manly. You can also have a walk around the beach.

A small, tiny beach, but astonishingly beautiful. a great place to walk, talk, swim, enjoy family and group gatherings. one of many beautiful beaches in Sydney north east.

Excellent all day free street parking and quiet beach for locals. However, no amenities such as shops and cafes. Sand can have a bit of stones and sticks compared to nearby Freshhie. Water has sea grass so a bit darker. Secluded, so good for swimming and children, reduced waves.

Beautiful beach very quiet. Nice coffee shops to have a coffee or a brekkie. The beach is safe and good for beginners surfers and longboards. Surrounded by nature, it is a pleasant place to relax, chill and have a good time with friends and family.

A great spot to soak up the sun, laze about, swim and for those inclined - surf! Highly recommend for any occasion.

Really good beach then others. Stands out then other beaches at Sydney. Nice and cozy, waves were really good. Small beach but better then most of the big beaches.
