Calanques de Piana (Corsican: E Calanche di Piana) are Corsican calanques located in Piana, between Ajaccio and Calvi, in the Gulf of Porto. It is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site named "Gulf of Porto: Calanche of Piana, Gulf of Girolata, Scandola Reserve".
Really pretty rock formations! It's quite busy and hard to park/drive/walk on the narrow road. I enjoyed the more remote hikes in Corsica more.
Sensational scenery easily accessible by car. Breathtaking views guaranteed!
Lovely landscapes, very nice resturants with perfect view. Must list in your itinerary if you are visiting corsica
Amazing place with fantastic view of mountains and sea. Would recommand the place and also suggest to visit Porto as well in the same route.
A breathtaking road we did by motorbike… Simply one the most amazing panoramic road we ever made …it’s worthy to come here and enjoy the Calanchi. Sunset is magic and you can enjoy one of the panoramic restaurants on the way. Super !
Totally worth visiting. Bring hiking shoes. The rock formations and sea views are mind blowing. The town is great for lunch as well. Can’t wait to get back. In Corsica this is worth a drive or a sail or a hike or bike in you will not regret it. Some of the locals called it the mini Grand Canyon. Super cool. There is one scenic resto / bar stop up in the rock formations. Looked cool for lunch but we didn’t stop. If you plan to make it up here bring some rations/ water/ sandwich and take a cool hike. Enjoy
Beautiful ride! Just do it on a blue sky and you will be able to take the most spectacular pictures. Some of of the roads are a bit narrow and the locals tend to drive a little faster than tourists which can be intimidating but otherwise it’s pretty safe.
Very nice natural reserve. Only accesible by boat, but is totally worth it. Excellent for snorkeling and admire the beautiful colors of the water.
