Once you reach the top of Stone Mountain ⛰ is such a rewarding. Perfect sunrise 🌅 and sunset 🌇 Plus always a surprising at the top. You never know who you might get to see and do some meditation 🧘♀️ 🧘♂️ We end up meeting 3 monks at the top. What an enlightening. One gave us some wisdom and blessed us. We did some yoga 🧘♀️
Visiting from NYC at a Wonens Retreat Evergreen Resort. At age 55 & my 27-year-old daughter made it to the top of Stone Mountain. It was so exciting to complete the whole hike. Wear comfortable sneakers, Hoodie, water, charged phone, change purse for the telescope 50 cent & definitely be in good shape. Best experience of our life. ❤️
I came for the first time for the sunrise. It’s very dark so be sure to bring a headlamp, flashlight or use your camera light. Being solo, I found another woman going my pace to join for the majority of the hike. It’s a moderate challenge and you just follow the dashed yellow lines. It’s so peaceful at the top. I just sat toward the east and took in the scenery and sunrise.
Super pleasant hike, steep at the end. Pay for a daily parking at the gate 20 usd. Possible to use cable car for 20/15 usd.
Great views, lots of sun exposure especially at the top. Expect inconsiderate pet owners on the hike. Even though the trail/paths is very well marked with “no pet or animal” signs I counted fourteen dogs with two of leashes. Pets are not allowed/welcome. Pet owners stay home!
Excellent and beautiful view. Lot of landscapes, it's worth it to get to the top early to look the sunrise
