Hwange Nationaal Park (Hwange National Park)

  • We took a tour with Sable Sands and had a wonderful time, seeing lions, zebra, giraffe, antelope and many others. Came home with amazing pictures, so take a good digital camera if you have one.

  • Best place in Southern Africa to watch animals in their natural inhabitants. Away from civilization and cacophony of the cities.

  • The Hwange National Park is quite the haven for nature lovers. All the big five animals are found in this reserve. The ZimParks lodges, though, leave a lot to be desired as the beds need to be replaced. The self-catering equipment works well and is adequate. Wild animals visit the lodges at night and it is not advisable to be walking after hours as an encounter with hyenas or elephants is more than likely. To see the cats, it is advisable to go deep into the reserve on less used roads as the cats are shy animals.
