We saw some giant Sequoias and had some nice hikes. We also made reservations for the crystal caves. If you do that, remember it is about a 20 minute drive off the main road to the parking lot. There is also a half mile uphill climb back from the caves. The tour is family oriented.
The trees in Sequoia National park are even larger than the more popular Redwoods. The trees are some of the biggest on the planet. There are even tree that are even bigger in the park than the ones available to the public. This place is purely magical you ca feel the presence of the behemoth trees and the message is love.
Unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Breathtaking views. You’ll feel very small next to these trees. God’s creation is amazing!
Beautiful! Just Beautiful! If you visit the General tree, be prepared to walk inclines (at a high altitude). Kind rangers. During pandemic, will need a mask to ride buses.
If you are a tress lover, this is paradise. If you are not, Those giant will change you forever. This is something like truly does not transpire well on photos or videos or movies. It must be touched, felt, experienced. An ancestral forest so unique you will not want to leave. Summer is fantastic but if 30 years ago It was busy, today it is unimageable. There are enough traffic jam and crowd to almost forget about the trees. So I prefer going into winter. It is still busy the way summer was 30 years ago. But the place is big, the trails numerous and once done the must see oldest and tallest and largest trees, you can find path to freedom and the wild. We did not encountered bears but saw some fresh tracks. The snow adds to the fun and the natural beauty.
Beautiful park. SO worth seeing. Lots of driving up curvy mountains to get to the destination. Park rangers are very helpful. Trails we went on were paved and very accessible. Good amount of designated handicapped parking areas and lots of information along the trails to help you understand the trees.
Gorgeous and simply breathtaking! Took about 5 hours to drive through the park making a generous amount of stops! Skip Sherman Tree, you’ll find better pockets of trees throughout the park that aren’t congested with tourists.
You must see this place in person! It took us a while to finally park but it was worth it! The trees are breathtaking. You have to appreciate how clean and well maintained this place is. I was invited while on vacation and I couldn’t be happier to have went!
