Sierra Nevada National Park (Spain) (Parque nacional y natural de Sierra Nevada)
The Parque Nacional de Sierra Nevada (known as the Sierra Nevada National Park in English) is a national park located in the Sierra Nevada within the provinces of Granada and Almería in Andalusia, Spain. It was declared a national park on 14 January 1999. It stretches from the Alpujarra to El Marquesado and the Lecrin Valley, covering a total area of 85,883 hectares, making it the largest national park in Spain until the expansion of the Cabrera Archipelago Maritime-Terrestrial National Park from 10,021 to 90,800 hectares in 2019.
It incorporates the municipalities of Abla, Abrucena, Alboloduy, Alsodux, Bayárcal, Beires, Canjáyar, Fiñana, Fondón, Laujar de Andarax, Nacimiento, Ohanes, Paterna del Río, Rágol, Las Tres Villas, Aldeire, Alpujarra de La Sierra, Bérchules, Bubión, Busquístar, Cáñar, Capileira, Dílar, Dólar, Dúrcal, Ferreira, Güéjar Sierra, Huéneja, Jerez del Marquesado, Juviles, Lanjarón, Lanteira, Lecrín, Lugros, Monachil, Nevada, Nigüelas, Pampaneira, Pórtugos, Soportújar, La Taha, Trevélez, Valor and La Zubia.

Came just to go up to the mountain and see some snow and the teleferico was 19,50€. Good amount of snow and will come back to learn some ski!

Absolutely amazing place to visit! Whether it's for a quick walk or a few days overnight - I would highly recommend! We walked up Mt Mulhacén over the course of two days; staying at the refuge at 2,500m Walked up to the summit for sunrise and were met with unreal views. Absolutely phenomenal!

Very nice place to visit. Very calm and close to nature. Lots of herbs are there. Apple, walnut, berries trees everywhere. Natural water resources. Awesome view from hill tops. Tourists can roam around by cycle also.

The Spanish nature is preserved in this wild and bare place. Walk to the peak and you see the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and Africa!

By area small by height big mountain range. You can get there quickly by car from Granada. It is amazing for cycling trips, hiking or skiing in winter. Views from the top are wonderful - especially when there is already snow but down in the valleys is still warm.
